Our Approach
Three Counties Children's Services welcomes feedback from children and young people, families, professionals, and partners. Complaints help us improve practice and strengthen the care we provide.
Who Can Make A Complaint
A complaint can be raised by a child or young person, a parent or carer, a professional involved in a placement, or another person with a legitimate interest in the care we provide.
How To Raise A Concern
- Where possible, raise the issue with the home or a member of the care team first so it can be resolved quickly.
- If that is not appropriate or you remain dissatisfied, contact us through our Contact page and ask for your concern to be treated as a complaint.
- Please include your name, contact details, and a clear description of what happened and what outcome you are seeking.
What Happens Next
We will acknowledge the complaint, look into the issues raised, and respond with findings and any actions we will take. Serious or safeguarding-related concerns will be handled under our safeguarding procedures and escalated where required.
Independent Routes
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to escalate the matter to the placing authority, Ofsted, or another relevant body depending on the nature of the concern.
Support For Children And Young People
Children and young people in our homes are supported to raise worries safely. They can speak with trusted adults in the home, and advocacy or independent support can be arranged where appropriate.
This page summarises our public complaints stance. Full complaints procedures are maintained internally and can be provided on request.
